Course Outline †
- This course covers introductory statistical methods that are essential for data analysis in the study of global fod resources. It also deals with basics of the free statistical environment R and with elementary programing skills in conducting actual analyses in R. Various analytic methods are used in the study of global food resources. Example includes analysis of survey data, econometric analysis of supply and demand, and inference on abundance of marine resources. Topics covered in this course serve as fundamental subjects necessary for understanding and applying advanced analytic methods.
