Derek, Shana and Latif participated in a great outreach event in Furano, a town in the middle of Hokkaido well known for it’s agriculture, tourism and skiing. This was organised by the Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry, and by the Faculty of Agriculture, Hokkaido University.
On the first day, Derek and other faculty gave a series of public seminars. On the second day we interacted with local high school students and all worked together so they could give a final presentation in English!
