Research Theme †

Reproduction mechanisms in Siebold beech (tentative).

There is amass flowing event of some broadleaved trees. This flowering mechanism of the broadleaved tree hasn't been well analyzed yet. If this mechanism would be revealed, it may lead the technique of artificial flowering. I will pay attention to the genes regulation of flowering in Fagus crenata which is one of the representative broadleaved trees in cool temperate region of Japan.
