 笠さんは造林学研究室のOGです。笠さんは2011年冬，Climate Youth Japan から派遣されて、原発震災の現状を訴えるため
 に南アフリカ・ダーバンで開かれた気候変動枠組み条約 COP17に参加しました。

 樹木の根の中でも「細根」と呼ばれるわずか2mm以下の根が、養分や水分を吸収するのに重要な役割を担っています。
 高CO2環境下では、一般的に地上部の成長量が増加すると言われていますが、地下部でも根の成長量が増加したり、根のターンオーバー（発生してから死ぬまで）が早くなるなどの報告があります。
 本研究は観察が困難な野外において、地下部を撮影する特殊なカメラを用いて高CO2環境下での根の動態を追跡した貴重な報告の一つです。&ref(伊藤昼ゼミ110527.ppt);~
