In this department, we are working on behavioral ecology of arthropods and birds, biological control of agricultural pests, conservation biology, molecular phylogeny of ants, population genetics, computer simulation of ecological systems, taxonomic and systematic entomology, theories and methodology of taxonomy and systematics, biogeography and evolution of insects in Asia and ecology and ethology of insects.
