Abstract submission is now under way.

Submission of all abstracts for both poster and oral presentations (including Plenary and Keynote presentations) should be prepared according to the instructions below and submitted as an attachment file of the e-mail to the Secretary (cryo09sapporo@for.agr.hokudai.ac.jp) with a subject of "CRYO2009 Abstract". Abstracts submitted for the poster session by May 20, 2009, will be considered for oral presentations. Authors who are chosen as an oral presenter will be notified before or on June 25, 2009. Abstracts that are submitted on May 20, 2009 or later will be accepted only if space for poster presentations is available. We will let you know if your abstract is accepted or not through e-mail promptly. You will get an abstract book at the conference site.

Abstract should be prepared according to the following instructions:

  1. Abstracts should be previously unpublished work at the time of presentation.
  2. The deadline for abstract submission is May 20, 2009.
  3. Abstract body length is less than or equal to 500 words and title, authors and institutions are extra.
  4. All accepted abstracts are assigned to either an oral or a poster presentation at the discretion of the Program Committee. It is the policy of CRYO2009 that abstracts must be submitted with the intention that, if selected, they will be presented. If you do not wish to be selected as an oral presentation, please indicate so in the e-mail when you submit the abstract.
  5. Commercial Relationship Disclosure: all authors must state, at the bottom of the abstract, the source of funding for the work and whether a conflict of interest is declared.
  6. Copyright Transfer: all authors certify that they agree to have the abstract published in the journal Cryobiology.
  7. Abstract must be saved in the rich text format (rtf). In your word processing program, go to the file menu and choose Save As. Change the type to Rich Text Format (RTF) before you save it.
  8. Whenever possible, try to use the Symbol Font in your RTF file for your Greek and Scientific symbols (alpha, beta, gamma, etc.) to ensure correct syntax when the Abstract Books are printed.
  9. Presenter must be marked * in front of his/her name and corresponding author must underline her/his name in the list of authors.
  10. Title should be followed by one return.
  11. Authors and affiliations should be in separate lines and followed by one return.
  12. Provide any acknowledgments for your research at the end of your abstract.
