The Japanese Society for Cryobiology and Cryotechnology (JSCC) was originally established as the Japanese Society for Research of Freezing and Drying in 1959. The Japanese Society for Research of Freezing and Drying became JSCC in 1994. So, in 2009, we become 50 years old and will celebrate our memorable 50th birthday!

We are planning to have the anniversary symposium and party in July 18, Saturday, on the Hokkaido University Campus just before the CRYO2009 starts. You are very much welcome to join our celebration with us. To participate in the symposium and/or party, we ask you to pre-register your name due to space limitations. For pre-registration, please contact Matsuo Uemura, the Chairman of the Anniversary Symposium and Party, by July 10, 2009. Space will be allocated first-come-first-served basis. Fee for the party will be 5,000JPY per person and will be collected at the site.

We look forward to seeing you at the symposium and party!

Best regards,

Matsuo Uemura
